【摘要】:Theuseofthisapparatusisintendedtoinducepropertychangesassociatedwiththeenduseconditions,includingtheeffectsoftheUVportionofsunlight,moisture,andheat.Exposuresarenotintendedtosimulatethedeteriorationcausedbylocalizedweatherphenomena,suchasatmosphericpollution,biologicalattack,andsaltwaterexposure.Note38212;RefertoPracticeG151forcautionaryguidanceapplicabletolaboratoryweatheringdevices.Variationinresultsmaybeexpectedwhenoperatingconditionsarevariedwithintheacceptedlimitsofthismethod.Testdataforonethicknessofageomembranecannotbeusedasdataforotherthicknessgeomembranesmadewiththesameformula(polymer,pigmentandstabilizers)sincethedegradationisthicknessrelated.Note48212;Itisrecommendedthatasimilarmaterialofknownperformance(acontrol)beexposedsimultaneouslywiththetestmaterialtoprovideastandardforcomparativepurposes.Whencontrolmaterialisusedinthetestprogram,itisrecommendedonlyonecouponbeusedforeachUVexposureperiodtoallowforOITtesting.1.1ThisstandardcoversthespecificproceduresandtestconditionsthatareapplicableforexposureofunreinforcedpolyolefingeomembranestofluorescentUVradiationandcondensation.Note1Polyolefingeomembranesincludehighdensitypolyethylene(HDPE),linearlowdensitypolyethylene(LLDPE),flexiblepolyproplyene(fPP),etc.1.2TestspecimensareexposedtofluorescentUVA340lampsundercontrolledenvironmentalconditions.UVA340lampsarestandardforthismethod.Note2OthertypesoffluorescentUVlamps,suchasUVB-313,canalsobeusedbasedupondiscussionbetweeninvolvedparties.However,ifthetestisranwithanothertypeoffluorescentUVlamps,suchasUVB-313,thisshouldbeconsideredasadeviationfromthestandardandclearlystatedinthetestreport.UVB-313andUVA-340fluorescentlampsgeneratedifferentamountofradiantpowerindifferentwavelengthranges;thus,thephotochemicaleffectscausedbythesedifferentlampsmayvary.1.3ThismethodcoverstheconditionsunderwhichtheexposureistobeperformedandthetestmethodsforevaluatingtheeffectsoffluorescentUV,heatandmoistureintheformofcondensationongeomembranes.GeneralguidanceisgiveninPracticesG151andG154.1.4ThevalueslistedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
